First Bridge School is an independent specialist school in Chelsea Harbour, London for pupils aged 2 to 9 (soon to be 11) with suspected or diagnosed autism and/or other special educational needs.

Our unique approach integrates evidence-based behavioural analysis therapy with a bespoke curriculum based on the EYFS and National Curriculum, creating a nurturing, structured environment where pupils really thrive.

We welcome families seeking clarity, support, and meaningful long-term progress, even if your child doesn’t have a diagnosis or education, health and care (EHC) plan.

The Admissions Process

You will complete a brief form and should share any EHC plan or relevant developmental reports (if available).

3. Visit

If you haven't already, you will be invited to join us at our Imperial Wharf school for a guided tour. You will see our classrooms in action, and meet our leaders, teachers and therapists.

4. Assessment

We invite your child for a gentle 60-minute session with our team to observe strengths, learning style, and engagement.

This is not a diagnostic assessment.
Privately funded places are subject to VAT and a non-refundable assessment fee.

5. Offer

If we’re the right fit, we’ll offer you a personalised placement proposal, including schedule, fees, and a tailored transition plan.

If you’re exploring Local Authority funding, we can liaise with your caseworker as part of the process.

6. Onboarding

Families receive a full induction pack and the school placement begins with a phased, child-led start.
